MORE ABOUT
Sculling
Sculling is the act of rowing with two oars. MRRA offers two Learn To Row sessions of 12 classes each that are targeted at those new to the sport or those with some sweep experience looking to move to sculling boats. Participants are able to graduate from multi-seat boats ("quads" and "doubles") to stable "singles" and eventually finer single shells.
At the end of the program, participants may take the Captain's Test which allows them to use club equipment for independent rowing. Many participants continue on to MRRA membership at a reduced rate for the remainder of the rowing season.
